VAT calculator for the Philippines
Add 12% VAT to a price, or take it out of a VAT-inclusive total. The answer appears as you type, with the VAT amount split out for your invoice.
- Before VAT
- ₱ 1,000.00
- VAT at 12%
- ₱ 120.00
- Total including VAT
- ₱ 1,120.00
Adding VAT: price × 1.12. Removing VAT: total × 12 ÷ 112 gives the VAT part.
How to work out 12% VAT.
Adding VAT to a price
Multiply the price before VAT by 0.12 to get the VAT, then add it on. For ₱ 1,000.00, the VAT is ₱ 120.00 and the total is ₱ 1,120.00. In one step: multiply by 1.12.
Removing VAT from a total
Divide the total by 1.12 to get the price before VAT. For a total of ₱ 1,000.00, that is ₱ 892.86, so the VAT part is ₱ 107.14. Taking 12% off the total gives the wrong answer.
Showing it on the invoice
Clients and tax offices expect three separate lines: the amount before VAT, the VAT with its rate, and the total to pay. Round each line to two decimals and make sure they add up.
Put it on an invoice.
The free invoice maker adds VAT at 12% for you, shows it as its own line and downloads a clean PDF. No sign-up needed.
