Invoice template for Google Docs
A Google Docs invoice works, but you rebuild it every time. Here is what to put on it, and a faster way to a clean PDF.
Blank tax invoice template, ready to fill in.
An empty A4 tax invoice with every field in place. The Excel version adds up the totals for you. No sign-up, no email needed.
What goes on the invoice
- Your name or business name and contact details
- A unique invoice number and the date
- The client’s name and address
- A table of services with quantity, rate and amount
- Tax, discount and the total due
- Payment terms and how to pay
The free invoice maker puts these in the right places, adds up the totals for you and downloads a clean PDF. No sign-up needed.
Three things worth getting right.
Docs does not calculate totals
Unlike a spreadsheet, a document will not add up your table. You have to work out each total by hand.
Copy, then change everything
Duplicating an old invoice is how the wrong client name or number ends up on a new one. Check each field before you send.
Share as a PDF
Download as PDF before sending, so the client cannot edit it and it looks the same everywhere.
