Blank tax invoice template, ready to fill in.
An empty A4 tax invoice with every field in place. The Excel version adds up the totals for you. No sign-up, no email needed.
What goes on the invoice
- The title “Tax invoice”
- Your name, address and your tax registration number (VAT, GST or similar)
- The client’s name and, where required, their registration number
- A unique invoice number, the invoice date and, where required, the date of supply
- A description of each supply, with quantity and price before tax
- The tax rate for each line
- The tax amount shown separately, and the total including tax
The free invoice maker puts these in the right places, adds up the totals for you and downloads a clean PDF. No sign-up needed.
Three things worth getting right.
Show the tax separately
Business clients who reclaim tax need to see it as its own line, not hidden in the price.
Use your registration number
VAT, GST or sales tax numbers belong on the invoice if you are registered. Without one, an invoice may not be accepted for a claim.
