Three things worth getting right.
Invoice overseas clients in dollars
If you work with clients abroad, bill in USD or their own currency so you are not exposed to exchange-rate swings while you wait to be paid.
Add SWIFT details
For international transfers, put your bank name, branch, account number and SWIFT code on the invoice. It avoids delays and returned payments.
Keep your records tidy
Number invoices in order and keep a copy of each. You will want them for tax returns and for any bank or visa paperwork.
