What goes on the invoice
- Your name or business name and contact details
- Your KRA PIN, and your client’s PIN for business clients
- A unique invoice number and the date
- A description of the work, with quantity and price
- VAT at 16 percent as its own line, if you are VAT registered
- Total, due date and how to pay: M-Pesa Paybill or Till number, or bank details
The free invoice maker puts these in the right places, adds up the totals for you and downloads a clean PDF. No sign-up needed.
Three things worth getting right.
Add your M-Pesa details
Most Kenyan clients would rather pay by M-Pesa than walk to a bank. Put your Paybill or Till number and account reference on the invoice.
Know about eTIMS
KRA expects many businesses to issue invoices through its eTIMS system so clients can claim them as expenses. Wizard Invoice is not connected to eTIMS, so if a client needs an eTIMS invoice, issue that too and use your Wizard Invoice copy as the friendly version.
Bill overseas clients in dollars
For clients abroad, invoice in USD or their currency and give details for a provider that can receive it.
